The Classic

Rating:★★★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Romance
Is it possible for someone to fall in love at a movie? That’s exactly what I was thinking after watching The Classic.

Watching this movie is not originally on my plan. I was watching America’s Next Top Model and I’m on the next to the last episode, when it came to the season finale, I’ve found out that the dvd didn’t contain the finale. So I was scanning through my dvd’s and I’ve decided to watch a movie, and The Classic struck my attention, not that it’s pretty, at first I wasn’t enthusiastic to watch this, but since I’ve read in a forum that it’s good, I decided to try.

Before watching it, I have my mind set that the setting would be from the 70’s (as in old), so when the film started rolling, I told myself that “prepare to be bored”. However a music that I was so into came into the picture, CANON in D is playing, and you know what, I so so so so love canon, and that started my interest in the film. Then the name of the actors/actress began to appear at the screen, and this name completely aroused my attention – JO IN SUNG (Memories of Bali). OMG, as in o-m-g. JIS is like one of my ultimate crushes, and I wasn’t really expecting that he will be one of the lead in this movie. Hooray, I was in for a trip. Haha.

Okay, the story is very good. There’s sort of two stories in it, one is about the past, and another is about the present. Sobrang nakakakilig, especially yung story dun sa present, I was blushing, and I told myself, asan ang puso ko? nasan na ang puso ko? At that point, I knew that I am totally in love with the movie. It’s perfect, plus, there are no boring parts. There are twists and I so love them, they made me think, and all the while I was wondering, how the hell did that happened? So what I did is I replayed it a few minutes before, and I get it. It’s so sweet. My favorite korean movie ever.

Death Note

Rating:★★★

hmmmm.. most frustrating anime i've ever watched. only watched this because of L, and when he died, nothing make sense, even though N came as a replacement, no one can replace L. (cries)

I can't even think of a reason why Light became the Protagonist, so much for intelligent people. See, if you watch this, you'll see that intelligent people are indeed scary, so does that mean that people studying in UP are scary? (yabang eh).

The story's kind of tiring, too much mental fights, honestly the only part that i've liked is when Light's memory was wiped off, and he and L sort of "bonded". But after he regained his memory back, the plot grows darker, and there seems to be no hope for the people. How can an anime be this hopeless? (sighs) I want L back!

A Trip Back

Yesterday, I, together with my previous classmates visited our former school. Nothing’s change that much, except for a few. Our main entrance is far prettier than in my senior year (unfair!). There are a few more new additions to our school, and I think given a few more years, ASJ will improve a lot (since it’s only 5 years old), which makes me envious, haha, wished I get to experience that.

I’ve seen almost all of my teachers; it’s good, seeing them. Kinda makes me want to go back into high school. We exchanged a few words, relating some of our experiences. Some have said that I’ve grown fatter, some said the opposite (I believe that I’ve grown fatter, honestly).

We watched the CAT, naki”epal” kumbaga. ^^ Hmmm, about the new batch of officers, I think I can’t comment on that. Harhar. We stayed till 7 in the evening, and then we walked (as we usually did).

One thing’s funny, my old classmates didn’t change a bit, they’re still as funny as far as I can remember. We shared stories, laughed our hearts out, teased each other, etc. They’re still as cool as before. We also talked of our other classmates who weren’t present. Like this male classmate of ours who is now “crush ng bayan” (daw) in his school, the thing is he isn’t that noticeable during our senior year :D.  Then another classmate of ours (who isn’t present too) ace his chemistry subject (as in naka uno!), but he only sleeps in our class way back. There are still many stories to tell, but I wouldn’t tell them. Baka magalit na sila sa kin. Mwahahahahahaha.

200 Pounds Beauty/Daddy Long Legs/100 Days with Mr. Arrogant.

I’m not only into asianovelas, but Korean movies as well. This is probably the effect of being bored to death. Anyway, these three movies are the last ones I’ve seen. (no pics this time)

200 Pounds Beauty – Okay, the reason why I’ve watched this is because of Joo Jin Mo, remember my post about how I am addicted to Fashion 70s? Well it’s because of JJM. However I do not like his character in this movie, but the movie’s still okay. The OST’s are good. One thing more, I didn’t truly enjoy watching this because of the subtitles. It’s crazy, grrr. What more could you expect from a pirated copy? LOL

Daddy Long Legs – hmmm. Still familiar with the show Judy Abott? It’s sort of the same with this movie; the only thing is this movie is TRAGIC. Why kill Daddy Long Legs? Hmmpp. Another confession, I’ve thought that Hyun Bin (from Kim Sam Soon) would play the lead, so I was like waiting for him to pop out of the screen, and I’ve finally seen him, but then as the movie is nearing its end, it seemed like he is not the lead. Huhu. It would be better if he is Daddy Long Legs, it suits him. Hmmmm, all in all the movie’s good, so much twist, I’ve also cried at some part.

100 Days with Mr. Arrogant – this movie’s hilarious. I was laughing the entire time. No boring parts. However, I do not like the lead actor, I’m not a fan of him, you see. Wouldn’t it be great if some hotter guys got his role? (ooppsss sorry.) No offense. Haha. And one thing I’ve noticed Ha Ji Won (the lead actress) has so many movies. She’s also the lead in Daddy Long Legs and so many other movies, is she really that famous? Well, well, try watching this movie, it’s really funny. Haha. Plus, it’s sweet.

Note.

(I’m not really a fan of Korean movies, and koreanovela, I love chinovelas more, but because the titles that I would want to watch aren’t available yet, so that’s why I’m sticking to koreanovelas.)

Soon to watch (hopefully):

Why Why Love

Romantic Princess

Hanazakari no Kimitachi e

It Started with a Kiss 2

(I’m waiting for the vcd copy of this titles, I wouldn’t want to buy dvd 9 of these, ‘coz the subtitles s*ck, one thing more most of my favorite asian series are on vcd format. Haha, so one would know if I really love a series.)

bored.

Sobrang may kulang.

Coffee Prince

Rating:★★★★
Category:Other
The life of Go Eun Chan (Yoon Eun Hye, Goong) is not easy: she works many jobs to pay off debts and even gave up her feminine image. Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo) is the heir of a big food company, but his grandmother wants him to setlle down, so she arranged many dates for him. After Eun Chan bumped into Han Kyul and was mistaken for a boy, Han Kyul decided to hire Eun Chan to be his gay lover in order to avoid the arranged dates. Desperately in need of money, Eun Chan had no choice but to accept. Han Kyul’s grandmother also made Han Kyul in charge of a filthy coffee shop in danger of being bankrupt. Eun Chan begged to work at the coffee shop, and not long after, feelings start to spark, except, how would Han Kyul accept his “homosexuality”?

Coffee Prince is worth the laugh. All the actors/actress have done perfectly well. But what’s more interesting is Han Kyul’s dilemma about his sexuality. HAHA. It’s somewhat the same as Hana Kimi, but I would prefer it more if CP includes more romantic scenes between the two lead. There is no antagonist in this series, which is good (I think). Anyhow, there’s no boring part. One thing I noticed in Korean series is that the males always love to show their body. LOL.

What's Up Fox?

Rating:★★★★★

Siguro sawa na kayong marinig na paborito ko ang isang show na kapapanood ko pa lang pero yun talaga ang totoo eh. I wouldn’t buy something na alam ko namang hindi maganda.

The only reason (nung una) na binili ko ‘to is because of Chun Jung Myung (di ba kahawig niya si Brent Javier?) Pero there’s more to Foxy Lady than CJM alone. Maganda yung story, nakakakilig. Sobrang lakas ng chemistry ni Vicky and AJ, as in nararamdaman ko talaga siya, everytime they kissed, may something, may spark kumbaga.

Nirerecommend kong itry niyo ‘to, di kayo magsisisi. At first alangan pa kong bilhin ‘to kasi parang medyo mature na yung drama pero I was wronged. There’s more to it. Swear. Kung wala kayong time bumili, hiramin niyo na lang copy ko. haha, try a few episodes.

Fashion 70s

my current obsession. The story's great. Setting's done during the 70's. Also involves the history of korean war. Plus, the actors/actresses are great. Joo Jin Mo and Chun Jung Myung are totally hot and irresistable. But aside from that, the story's really touching. It has become one of my fav. koreanovelas. Try it, you'll see. The kids are adorable too.
