First time ever to watch a medical drama. (I was initially planning to not post this review here, but whatever)

Synopsis

The drama’s full title is “Code Blue: Doctor Heli Kinkyu Kyumei.” The concept is based on Japan’s proposal for an emergency medical service using helicopters to quickly reach those in need. A special bill was passed in June 2007 that should foster widespread adoption of the system. Yamashita stars as a young doctor-in-training, working under the guidance of an experienced “flight doctor”. Some scenes will be filmed with a real helicopter, adding to the show’s tension. To add, Code Blue centers on 4 flight doctor in training (Yamapi, Yui, Toda and Asari), as they enter Shohoku medical hospital. They’re all aspiring to be a great doctor, with the aspiration to be a flight doctor, however things became hard for them due to Kuroda sensei. This leads them to work harder and prove to the medical world that they are capable of becoming doctors.

Thoughts:

As I’ve mentioned, Code Blue is a medical drama. If you want to see lots of blood, intestines, hearts pumping, blood vessels, Yamapi with the perm, and the like, I suggest you to watch this. Okay, I’m not grossing you out but Code Blue’s full of these things (good thing Pi’s there, lol).

However, despite the stuff that I’ve mentioned above, I love this drama. As in I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching it, I know you’ll also do. Mind you, hmmm, it may not be for the faint hearted since there are a lot of sensitive scenes that shows “human organs on the loose” but once you get over it, you’ll find it quite educational. A great drama for those who are aspiring to be involved in the medical world. I once dreamt of becoming a surgeon myself, but since my mother said that I’m easily grossed out, I am not qualified to be one.

For us normal people, this drama brings us close to the things that are happening on the operating room, and elsewhere that involves doctors. There are a lot of medical terms, sickness that were introduced, which I like.

The best thing about Code Blue is it presents us with the essence of living. I will not be lecturing you on how important life is, watch this and you’ll understand. Every patient that the doctors handle comes with a lesson, not only are the patient benefiting, the doctors too and also us, the audience. I always find myself tearing up at every episode (not really all, but I’ve cried at almost all of it).

Brilliant actors and actresses. Superb casting. Great plot. Heart warming stories. The essence of not giving up, of fighting till the end. This is what Code Blue’s about.

I greatly recommend this to all of you. Life altering? Perhaps.

I know how you feel, 'coz I've felt the same way too. And I'm glad that I've made the decision to live with you in that hell of a house (people, don't be mistaken, fishy's/daing's a girl, and she's one of my bestest friend). I guess that's pretty smart move of me. haha.

hahahaha. Ang Golden Bride at si Hee Chul

First time kong mapanood ang Golden Bride sa TV5 (at habang tinatype ko ito ay pinapanood ko pa rin siya). Halos sabay lang pala kami ng TV kasi nasa episode 9 pa lang ako tapos dun episode 10 na. Okay hindi talaga yun yung gusto kong sabihin.

Grabe, first time kong makita at marinig ang Filipino dubbed na boses ni Hee Chul, at wapak talaga. Sobrang nakakatawa, una sa lahat, sobrang lalaki ang boses niya, pangalawa, grabe ang galing sa English nung nagdubbed sa kanya, naalala ko tuloy yung mga english days ni Chulie sa Full House. pero sobrang nakakatawa talaga. ROFL

Pero yung pinakita kanina eh yung part pa talaga na kiniss si Hee Chul nung girl. Pero that's okay, kahit anu talagang kadisente (or serious?) ng role ni Hee Chul sa isang show, di ko talaga mapigilang matawa, lagi kasing lumilitaw yung kalokohan niya. LOL

at grabeng Golden Bride yan, 70 (o 64?) episodes? Goodluck talaga sakin. For the first time, makakapanood ako ng ganitong kahabang drama. Maganda naman siya infairness.

Tapos na ang sem (nga ba?)

Sa wakas tapos na ang finals sa Math 54. Kahit na sobrang nanakit ang likod, ulo, mata at tiyan ko, ayos lang. At least wala na kong iniisip.

arrgghh. Ang hirap talaga. Bukas na ang finals tapos ngayon pa lang ako nagaaral. Akala mo namang magaling ako, nangangamote nga ako sa math.

Ang hirap talaga ng Math. Ayoko na ng Math, from favorite subject nung high school, pagdating ng college most hated subject. Amp.

I hate integrals, i hate differentiation, i hate calculus II. Lahat hate ko, dun lang ata ako sa may vectors medyo may naintindihan. AMP AMP AMP. RANT RANT RANT.

Happy Birthday Dong Hae!

Though it's already the 16th in Korea but still, it's the 15th in my time zone (wahahaha, with only a few minutes left). So before your birthday ends, would like to greet Dodododododododododong Hae a happy 22nd birthday! yay!.

And to celebrate it, I've done a fan video. Woo hoo. This is my first attempt on doing this kind of stuff, and I've spent the last 14 hours (+ 4 hrs last night) doing this. The video's a bit jumpy at some parts (it stops, but then resumes), but still it's watchable. hahahaha.

First Bento Experience

Wahahaha. At dahil napakafeeler ko, tinry kong kumain ng Bento sa may SM North, actually I was torn on what to choose, either Bento, Ramen (I've been craving for it for so loonng) or kimchi/korean food.

Sa totoo lang ako yung tipo ng tao na hindi marunong magtanim ng sama ng loob pero sobra na talaga kaswapangan nila.

San ka makakakita ng boarding house (yung may-ari) na ayaw ibalik yung dineposit mong money? ampness, 1500 din yun. Marami din akong mabibili dun. Plus as if naman napakacomfty nung stay namin dun, first week pa lang ng class, naputulan kami ng tubig and hanggang ngayon wala pa ding tubig, so umaasa lang kami sa igib. TAE. AMP. Kaasar, buti na lang nakaalis na ko kanina, and i would never return there. LOL

On the other hand, yey! the sem's officially over, though may finals pa sa math 54, pero at least wala ng masyadong pressure. YEY! Dapat lubusin ang sem break.

RANT TOPIC OF THE WEEK: MATH 54 EXAM.

alam ko babagsak ako sa math 54, wahahaha. ang pessismist ko, pero nafefeel ko lang talaga. 2 more exams to go (last exam and finals). At kahit sa wednesday pa ang exam ko, 'di ako makapag-isip ng maayos, at kahit may exam ako sa Kas 2 bukas, nagboblog pa din ako, pero bakit ganun? Ayoko na ng math. Tapos sasabayan pa siya ng Art Stud 1 na sandamakmak ang readings, ampness.

DI PA DIN AKO MAKAKAPAGSHIFT.

So blockmates, by next sem blockmates ko pa din tayo, wahehehe. Sa kuhanan ng form 5, makikita niyo ulit ako sa EEE. Pero siyempre magshishift pa din ako next year na nga lang.

Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Joon & Kim Bum are “Korean F4″

Finally! The cast for the drama based on the super popular Japanese manga, “Boys Over Flowers” has been finalized. The leader of F4, Tsukasa Domyoji will be played by Lee Min Ho, Rui will be played by SS501 member, Kim Hyun Joong, Soujiro to Kim Bum and, Akira’s role to Kim Joon of T-Maxx.

The Korean version of “Boys Over Flowers” is expected to air on KBS2TV in December 2008.

the only one that I approve of is Kim Hyun Joong as Rui. haha. honestly I thought it's Ki Bum not Kim Bum. lol but I'm still looking forward to HYD. :D and i do hope this is final (it's tiring to wait and wait)

Itazura na Kiss

One of the best anime ever.

SYNOPSIS

How does it feel to love the smartest and coolest guy at school (or probably the whole of Japan)? More so, how would it feel if you’ve loved him for years but your existence to him is unknown.

Itazura na Kiss is about the story of Aihara Kotoko and Irie Naoki. The story starts when Kotoko decided to confess and write a love letter to Naoki but was openly rejected in front of everybody. Naoki’s the smartest guy in school and Kotoko belongs to the lowest class(Class F).

However, things began to change when Kotoko’s house was destroyed by an earthquake and he and her father moved to a friend’s house which was later revealed to be Naoki’s house.

The story does not stop on the soon to be “relationship” between the two, but it follows their life as a married couple and new obstacles that come their way.

THOUGHTS

I super love this anime. I’ve first known its story through the series “It Started with a Kiss” and after watching that I’ve fallen inlove with the story.

When I’ve first watched Itazura na Kiss, I was not expecting much since I’m so familiar to the story (’coz I’ve watched ISWAK many times). I remember the first time I’ve seen Naoki in his anime form, I don’t find him hot and goodlooking. Back to my review, again I was wrong ‘coz although the anime and the series were the same in a sense, the two differs (uhm, I hope you understand what I mean).

I was not bored by the anime, in fact I was surprised by it, I have found myself laughing at every episode. Itazura na Kiss brings out a combination of different feelings, you’ll find yourself laughing, crying, in love, agitated and the sort.

One of the best thing about this anime is its plot and the way that it was presented. You seldom see an anime that continues after the couple’s married life, ‘coz I think that if it was to be done it will be boring but Itazura na Kiss proved me wrong. The second part (which is their married life) is as exciting as their high school life, there were a lot of conflicts that urges you to continue watching and to anticipate the next episode.

Another good point of this anime is the nature of the leads. I love the characters. It’s just perfect for me the part where in a simple and (dumb) girl has captured the heart of the smartest guy in school, though it wasn’t easy for Kotoko to make Naoki fall in love with her (’coz Naoki’s heart is made of stone, lol) but that’s what make it interesting. I’m sure a lot of people are experiencing unrequited love (aw!).

Itazura na Kiss has touched me, especially towards the last few episodes, it’s prolly because I’ve seen the characters grow and mature (especially Naoki), it takes the anime to a whole new level, not to mention the ending song (Jikan Yo Tomare) which I absolutely love.

Though the manga’s unfinished (due to the mangaka’s untimely death), the anime’s ending was the best. After watching it you’ll say that “I couldn’t ask for more”. I so love the ending where in Kotoko, Kotomi and Naoki were happily holding hands. A perfect family picture, really could anything be more splendid?



THIS IS A MUST WATCH. This is the kind of anime that I could see myself watching again in the future.
