Taiwan's smash hit television drama "Meteor Garden" will soon be made into a Korean version, South Korean media reported.

The remake is scheduled to be screened in late 2008, with twenty-four 70-minute episodes. The cast has not been announced yet, the report said.

The high school-based romance serials, adapted from a Japanese manga, have won extreme popularity in the Chinese-speaking world and catapulted the five leads, Barbie Hsu, Vanness Wu, Vic Zhou, Jerry Yan and Ken Chu, to immediate stardom when it first aired in 2001.

A Japanese version, "Hana Yori Dango," aired in Japan in 2005, also to great success.

While the TV Station makes the announcement of filming <<Hana>>, the netizens already started choosing the actors for the characters in the series. Some feel that Ku Hye Sun from <<The King & The Clown>> is suitable for role of Makino Tsukushi while others recommend Yoon Eun Hye to take on the role.

Im Juh Wan for the role of Hanazawa Rui while Jung Woo Sung who once collaborated with Ku Hye Sun in some commercial ads, has been recommended to take on the role of Doumyouji Tsukasa. Kang Dong Won, Lee Dong Gun, Jang Hyuk & Hyun Bin are voted by some the best candidates. The netizens also point out that Im Juh Wan of <<The Snow Queen>> should play the part, Hanazawa Rui though some prefer Choi Si Won & Jang Geun Suk for this character for its gentle image. The netizsens also recommend Jung Kyung Ho & Lee Min Ki for the parts, Nishikado Soujiroh & Mimasaka Akira.
