Sakit ng katawan ko pagkagising ko kanina. Kapagod magswimming (kahit hindi ako marunong).

Pero swimming was fun, at least natututo ako mag glide. LOL But right after the swimming, di na ako nakapagshower kasi napakahaba ng pila, so I just wore my clothes from earlier (over the wet ones), so ayun nung nasa Jollibee na lang ako nagbihis. As in dun talaga. HAHA (okay, kadiri talaga ko, kasi naman I have to attend my friend's party)

And right after that was hell. Hmm, literally, nung nasa may jeep ako pababa sa may MRT part eh bumuhos yung napakalakas na ulan kasama ang napakalakas na hangin. Buti na lang may malaking poste dun sa may ilalim nung MRT, may shield ako. AHAHA.

Aly's pre birthday celebration. Ansaya kasi nakita ko ang tropa, si bezy pati na ang mga old classmates ko. Siyempre chikahan to the max, and siyempre since college na kami ngayon, what more could you expect. ^^ Basta masaya, kahit na konti lang sa class namin ang pumunta.

hmmm, kailangan ko talaga ang answer niyo.

kasi gumawa ako ng letter para irequest na mainterview namin si Sir Almario (Dean ng CAL, National Artist), and dun nilagay ko yung time na sana pwede namin siya mainterview, but then it turns out na yung time na available lang siya is the time kung kailan na dapat ipepresent yung report namin about sa kanya. Nakalagay na note dun sa letter ko is "the only time I'm availabale is on Aug. 7" 

Now, ano ang dapat kong gawin? Should I make a letter of appology telling him na hindi na matutuloy yung interview? And dun ba sa note niya sa letter ko e mini-mean niya na approved na na Aug. 7 yung interview, and that he's waiting for us? WAAAA, help me! should I make a letter cancelling yung interview (sorry kung paulit-ulit), and would that be okay?

WAAAAA. Natataranta na ako, kinakabahan ako kasi naman, si Sir VIRGILIO ALMARIO yun no, at considering his position. T_T. Plus nakakatakot yung mga notes na nilagay niya sa letter ko.

The Vampire Diaries

I've sworn yesterday that I would only read the first book, but I've finished the whole series just now, and my mind's in a dazed.

All in all there are four books of it - The Awakening, The Struggle, The Fury and lastly, The Dark Reunion. (though from what I've heard there would be a fifth book coming).

Obviously, I'm obsessed with vampires. Hmmm The Vampire Diaries were a good read. It's written when I was I think a year old (ahaha), so I kind of understand the factors that affected the story.

It's interesting, for me. While some of the scenes are predictable, it still has made me think, and symphatize with what's going on. Another thing is about Stefan and Damon, it's too hard to choose who's more loveable, but I would still stick with Stefan. And the thing about the choice of characters were quite well. I especially like the part about the "psychic, vision stuff". There were some parts that were left hanging, but I guess it would be answered with the release of the final (?) book.

The series had it's share of good points. Honestly I can't think of anything to say, but it does have a happy ending - that I assure you, well for now.

But I personally think the Twilight series is better, though it may be overrated but still.

Yet, I'm not trying to compare here, because the Vampire Diaries has its own approach on things.

Overall. The story's appealing. :) Or else why would I sacrifice my time reading for the whole day?

at ito pa, kinuwentuhan ako ng tatay ko ng mga bagay bagay ukol dito. Lalo na dun sa probinsya nila (sa Bicol). Pati na rin yung mga kamag anak niyang nakulam na at nakita niya mismo, yung nabarang daw.

nakakatakot pero nakakamangha. Naniniwala ako dito.  at dahil na rin dito, naisip ko kung nageexist ang black magic, so parang pwede na ding mag exist ang iba pang nilalang, like vampires? (adik na ko sa bampira, sorry). Pero grabe, kasi dun sa binabasa kong book may something din about supernatural powers. Yung mga druids ba, na may power din, tapos may psychic powers din sila.

Grabe ang mundo noh? ang daming misteryo. Kahit na nasa modernong panahon na tayo, madami pa ring di pangkaraniwan na bagay na nagaganap.

Pahabol na sabi ng tatay ko sakin, "anak alam mo kung sakaling magbabakasyon tayo sa Bicol, marami kang bagay na mararanasan lalo na ang misteryo ng kalikasan."

Sabi niya na dun daw sa may dalampasigan sa probinsya namin, sa tuwing hating gabi magugulat ka na lamang na may magbabato ng kabibe sa dagat pero wala namang tao.

Gusto niyo bang marinig ang mga kulam na ikinwento sa akin ng tatay ko? comment lang kayo, nakakatakot talaga. o.O

books, boooks, and booooks.

I’ve just realized that my English’s not getting any better. With that in mind, I’ve decided to read a book. As the saying goes, reading enriches one’s vocabulary.

BUT I was faced with a big problem, what am I to read? Last night, I’ve tried to search for e books on the net, then I’ve come to the realization that I want a story that’s almost the same as Twilight. Or if ever there isn’t one, I want a story about this rich and popular guy/mysterious/silent but cool/intelligent who’s to meet a normal girl, and they have to be in school or something, blah blah blah. Yeah I’m a sucker for this kind of story, I never grew tired of it.

While contemplating, I’ve tried to read Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks, and because I love spoilers, I’ve searched for its summary and found that the story don’t quite appeal to me, after reading 30 pages or so, I’ve tried to look for another book.

I’ve searched the net, and the Vampire Diaries appeared, I DL-ed it and read the first few pages but again I stopped.

Then I felt that I should go classical, so I tried to read Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice, after reaching the 60th page, I was almost sleepy so I stopped.

Then this morning, I thought that I should just resume the Vampire Diaries since out of all the books that I’ve engaged in last night, it’s what interested me most.

The Vampire Diaries is a 4 book series. The story’s about this popular girl Elena who has been smitten by a new student at her school named Stefan. What she didn’t know is that Stefan’s a vampire. To make the story complicated is Stefan’s brother Damon whose way of thinking is somewhat harsh, etc.

I’ve just finished the first book - The Awakening. So far, it’s quite interesting, and I think the next three books would be a good read. However, I would want to read a book that is as interesting as the Twilight series, what I mean is that it gives me this elated feeling of being inlove - with Edward of course. LOL

W/c reminds me, I still have lots of assignments to do.

Okay, English mode na ako.

Yesterday, we had our practical exam in Rappelling. We were made to do 3 ways to rappel.

BUT, why is it that when it isn't practicals I can rappel quite well but come the practicals I've screwed big time. NYAHAHAHAHAHA. Luckily, Kuya Julio made me try again, and after some attempts (hahaha), I've managed to do it nicely.

Anyway. Yesterday, an accident happened. A girl from the other group fell down from the tower (okay, not as in she fell from the top). We all heard this loud thud and a cry from someone. When I looked their way, I saw the girl lying on the ground with her face so red. From what I've seen, she lay there for about half an hour, and we later learned that her half body was sort of paralyzed (i think it's a temporary paralysis, btw I've just heard it from someone).

OMG. Rappelling can be scary, so to my friends, classmates and blockmates who are currently taking rappelling, always take care.

AND the "dreaded" swimming lesson will be next sunday. JEEZ. SOMEBODY HELP ME. LOL

I think I’m being crazy again.

Have just watched Itazura na Kiss’ episode 13, and now, what?! Episode 14, I want! I want! It’s supposed to be out today, I hope I could watch it before I go back to the boarding house.

Another thing, I’m dl-ing a new series, entitled “Fated to Love You”. I’ve been so curious with this for months already but I’m only dl-ing the first episode now. After seeing that this has the highest rating of all Taiwanese Dramas this year, I’ll watch it, lol. It may even replace Prince Turned into Frog as the all time highest rating drama in Taiwan. GYAAA!

Going back to Itazura na Kiss, it has a new ending theme song which is very beautiful if you ask me. It’s entitled Jikan Yo Tomare by AZU feat. SEAMO. Just search it in google/yahoo and you’d be able to DL it, yeah!.

She won.

Ms. Venezuela did.

Ahaha. Just watched Ms. Universe on TV. And just like before, I was disappointed that Ms. Philippines didn't make the cut. I have nothing against Ms. Venezuela, she's fit to have the title (though I prefer Ms. Colombia more) but I just wished Ms. Philippines made it even in the top 15.

Argghh. Reminds me, did you know that I never fail to watch Ms. Universe, the only time I do is when it's aired when I have classes. But here's the revelation, when I was young, my dream is to become a contestant of it. HAHAHA. Evidently it will only be a dream. ROFL.

I just noticed that it's always the same countries that make it to the top 15. Hmmm, there's a sure slot for 5 countries, will not mention it. I know you know who they are.

Power countries nga naman oh. tsk tsk.

BTW, I do love Ms. Thailand's National Costume, so cute. :D

I think I'm inlove with Calvin. Seriously, I know I've been over hyper yesterday night at seeing Calvin and Wu Zun but OMG watching him speak english in ASAP is like "the ultimate bomb", I think his english's better than chun's.

I know I've told people a lot of times that I don't like Wu Zun anymore, but omg, I've just seen them on Pinoy Dream Academy (just a few minutes ago), and they were singing Xin Wo, and omg, gyaaaaa ~ I'll make an exception, I like Wu Zun because he's here in my country plus he made an effort to speak in Tagalog.

I like Calvin more, omg, calvin's so handsome. CALVIN!

And they can speak english, however I thought Chun's english would be more fluent.

Whatever. Calvin and Chun, you should stay a little bit longer here, and I wish Jiro and Aaron's with you. :)

*cries.* omg, i think I've cried all throughout the film. A very beautiful movie.

Have watched this a few hours back at CCP. My professor in MPs 10 has required us to watch this. I've asked my friends to accompany me to watch this but sadly they're all busy, so my mom went with me.

Her list of tasks, mostly closures and practical undertakings, expands to the worldly and the spiritual as people close to her share her last days. My Review

~ I've just realized that I haven't watched a Filipino film for a long time, for years perhaps. This is my first attempt on an independent film, and if not for my prof who has required us to watch this I would have never watch this.

But. The film's brilliant. After the last scene, everybody in the theatre clapped. The story's so touching. For the first time I've seen our film industry in a new light. As in I was amazed at the director for writing and directing 100.

The casts were superb. The story's sad yet it's so funny. As I've said at the beginning, I was crying really hard, even my mom admitted that she cried. And I know almost everyone in the theatre cried.

I was glad that I was able to watch it with my mom because the film sort of revolves around mother-daughter relationship (okay, not all).

You know what? If ever you have a free time, I recommend that you SEE THIS! This is life-altering. Gyaaa, I think I'm inlove with the film. For screening schedules, just comment on this post. ahaha

By the way, 100 is just one of the ten full-length films competing in the 2008 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival.

Way to go Philippine Indie Films!

Last week during our Math 54 class, Hannie has asked me a question (will just translate it into english):

Hannie: Machay, if ever you're given the chance to exchange a skill/talent of yours for a skill in math, what would it be?

Me: (thinks deeply) I just realized I don't have a skill (laughs)

Hannie: It can't be, just think of one.

Me: okay, I'm willing to be reborn as a boy.

Hannie: That isn't a skill.

Me: I know, haha. okay I'm willing to shave my hair off (see how desperate I am?? ^^)

Hannie: That isn't a skill also.

Me: HMMMM. I can't think of anything. Hmm, I think I'm willing to let go of all my memories related to the entertainment industry (anime, series, celebrity crushes, etc.). haha

Hannie: HAHAHAHA. Can't you think of a skill? Something that occupies your mind that can be replace by Math stuff.

Me: Since you asked for it, I'm going to tell you. I'm willing to forget the memories that I've shared with you. Since you're my friend I hope you understand. You know, you've already occupied a lot of space in my mind, we're classmates in Math, CWTS, we've been dormmates and friends for a year, I guess that would be enough to make me a genius in Math?

Hannie: Machay, ang sama mo! (Machay, you're bad!). I'll do the same with you!

Me: Hannie, don't worry. I'll only forget you during the duration of this semester, after that we could be friends again. ^^

Hannie: HAHAHA. :)

Me: Of course I'm just joking. :D Hmm but here's my true answer, I'm willing to let go of my talent in drawing.

Hannie: (looks at me seriously)

Me: HAHA, come to think of it, I can't even draw a thing. What would become of my talent in math if I've exchanged that?

Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend)

I know I've cried harder than Riiko did. And I know it's futile crying over a robot. It's as if I'm crying over a broken appliance, and I didn't even cry when I've lost my phone. But Night's different.

Synopsis



Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend) revolves around Izawa Riiko (Aibu Saki). She was chosen to take part in a 5 day free trial of a lover Robot that Kronos Heaven has produced. She has named him "Night Tenjo (Hayami Mokomichi)". At first Riiko only sees Night as a household appliance, not even showing some care. But finally Night's love and devotion has caught her attention. Also part of the story is Asamoto Soshi (Hiro Mizushima), a young executive who will eventually fall for her.

My Review

This would be long I swear.

Manga and Live Action (LA)

Though a lot of people (as in a lot) have aired their disappointment on Zettai Kareshi's Live Action, saying things like the manga and the LA are way too different, and that the manga's greater, I beg to disagree (ang taray).



I think it has something to do on what you've seen first. Naturally if you've seen something for the first time, and you liked it, it will remain that way, and if ever "that something" will be reproduced in another form, and there would be a lot of difference between the story, your prejudice would reign, therefore blocking your mind from even enjoying that "new thing" for whatever it is, and also you already now how the story goes, so it may bore you. Okay, I'm not generalizing here. I'm onlny saying that these things do happen.

Truth is, I haven't read the manga, but I know that there's really a big big difference between the two (LA). Though I haven't read it, I would say that the Live Action's good - that would suffice. I would stop comparing the two now.

On to my review.

The Story



Hmmm. I have to admit that the first few episodes of Zettai Kareshi were quite a bore. Yes, it has even lead to me, leaving unwatched episodes of ZK on my HD. However, I don't know what happened but come episode 5 or 6 I guess, I've become engrossed in the story.

And after that episode, the story keeps getting better and better. I honestly mean that. My favorite episode would have to be EPISODE 7. It's the first time that I've cried, not because I'm sad but because I was truthfully touched by the scene. It's when Riiko finally sees that Night is more than a robot. I could really feel the emotion.

After episode 7, the remaining episodes have kept me crying, even though there isn't a reason to cry, but I still did, 'coz I'm thinking ahead (I have my mind focused on the final episode.)

The final episode - goodness gracious, I was crying on the first scene, everytime I see Night, my tears just fall down. Good thing about the finale is that I think the atmosphere would be sad, but I was wrong. HAHA. There are parts that have made me laugh. Seriously. I was crying but then there's this overly funny scene, and poof! LOL.

But as expected, come the last few minutes, my eyes have gone swollen (is it the right term). WAAAA T_T. The words that were spoken by Night's so heart warming. I think the ending's great, though Riiko haven't even said "that word" to Night, but it perfectly make sense. The part where in Night was put to his original boz, holding the clover and the scarf, and where in Namikiri said "sweet dreams", OMG, I want to cry all over again, so so beautiful yet sad.



Casts/Characters

Isn't it obvious that I like Night?. :D

Moko as Night. I think Moko has done a perfect job. Word's aren't enough for me to tell you how I liked Moko as Night. He can make me laugh like hell and he could also make me sad by seeing his lonely expression.

Aibu Saki as Riiko. AHAHAHA. I haven't liked Aibu that much before, because her role would be this goody girl who has this bitchiness in her. In ZK, hmm I have appreciated her more. I think that's all. ahahaha.

Hiro as Soshi - weee, I like the "nanba" him, though there are points where in I admire his character (sorry I'm in favor of Night than Soshi, so I think I'm biased here).

My Opinion

Isn't there a way for Mr. Namikiri to make another robot exactly like Night? Just asking.

ZK's memorable for me, because it's the first series that I've completed via torrent. I've patiently waited for the subbers to finish every episode, and I can't bear to watch it on streaming sites (though I've watched the first 2 episodes on it, but as I've told you I thought the story's not that good).

But I like Zettai Kareshi a lot. That's all I can say, though it hasn't become on top of my favorite drama list, but it would remain a favorite of mine. :D

Its OST (Okaeri) beautiful too, it fits the story, everytime the song's played, I could always picture Night in a pink apron patiently waiting for Riiko to come home. :)



I guess that sums up my thought on ZK.

Swing. Swing. Swing.

Isa pa nga palang factor kung bakit sobrang sakit ng katawan ko ay dahil nagswing kami kanina gamit ang gulong.

Sharing lang.

Ganito kasi yun, dapat talaga 3 pm ang start ng make up class namin, pero sabi namin kay kuya Julio (JI namin) na kung pwede 2 pm na lang kami dumating para maaga madismiss.

So ayun nga nagpunta kami ng 2, pero wala si Kuya Julio, at ayun nakita namin ang mga gulong na nakasabit sa puno at napagdiskitahan agad.

At kanina ko lang narealize na first time ko pa lang makapagswing gamit ang gulong. Hindi ko nga alam kung pano sumakay dun eh, pero later on medyo natuto na ako. At ang lakas ng trip naming apat (Joanna, Mica, Hannie at ako), talagang nagphoto session pa kami kanina with matching video ng aking paghuhumiyaw sa swing dahil sa katarantahan. LOL.

Dahil sa sobrang pagkapit sa lubid, ang sakit sakit tuloy ng kamay ko, ahaha. Tapos dumating na si Kuya Julio at kami'y nagrappell na. Nakakatuwa pa kasi lima pa lang kaming present nun kaya tig-iisa kaming rope, ahaha. At ayun din paulit ulit kaming nagpraktis ng walk down at fade away, kaya sobrang sakit ng katawan ko. ahaha. Isa pa sigurong factor kung bakit love ko ang rappelling e dahil sobrang sarap lokohin ni kuya Julio at siyempre dahil magkakasama kaming apat nina Hannie. lol

TIRED (Rappelling, Mosquitoes, Zettai Kareshi, Chiaki ni Joanna and Math 54)

YES! Finally my hell week has ended. LOL.

Have just arrived at home from the boarding house. And it's saturday. T_T

Rapelling ~ Have to take make up classes on Rappelling but it's worth it, I'm loving it though it tires me out. My body's aching, haha, and I'm sleepy.

BTW, am I the only one who suffers from mosquito bites every rappelling session? Seriously, the mosquitoes love me to the extent that I've had 14 bites in my arms, I wouldn't be surprised if I suffer from dengue. At sagot ba ng UP pag nadengue ka???

Zettai Kareshi ~ it has ended but I haven't DL-ed the last epi (dl-ing it now). HAHA, I'll share an experience. Yesterday, Hannie visited our boarding house and I let her watched ZK's first epi, she finds Moco hot! haha, he's different daw from the Moco in Gokusen 2. And Hannie also cried! I was laughing so hard because she burst out crying, her face was all red. Why did she cry? Because she can't bear the thought that Night would d** in the end. I told her that it's just the first episode that she's watching, but she still cried. HAHAHAHA

And I think karma hit me. Because yesterday night, I've decided to watch ZK's episode 8-10 (I've had that for a long time na). And like Hannie, I've also cried! haha. Sheez, I was crying nonstop and it was like 2 am, and one of my roommates was awake, ano kaya inisip niya nung nakita niya akong umiiyak?? haha. But Zettai Kareshi's latter episodes were really heart wrenching.

Chiaki ~ haha, Joanna's obsess with Chiaki senpai (Tamaki Hiroshi), I accompanied her as she watched Nodame Cantabile (last night), and she has this super duper big crush on Chiaki, ahahaha. I was even surprised to see Chiaki as my desktop wallie (Joanna's fault)

Math 54 ~ uwaaaaaaaaa! I think I've done poorly on our first exam. Screw Integrals (just joking). And I've found out that I can't even drop the subject since mauunderload ako. huhuhu, and I don't even need you (integrals)
